Custom Stair Construction
Precision is vital in the creation of a custom staircase. When possible, Loren Dugan prefers to construct the framing for a new staircase in order to ensure that it meets our strict standards for quality as well as meets building codes. Once the framing is complete and the materials are available, our craftsmen begin assembly of the staircase. We can build custom made wreathed volutes, box newels with recessed panels, complex wreathed fittings, custom turned newels, and wood balusters, and we commonly install wrought iron balusters , complex handrails and we utilize the latest technologies like the use of Water Jetting because it offers endless possibilities for Custom Stair Design.
Our stairs may also include stock parts made from wood or metal from LJ Smith, Johnson Postman, House of Forgings, or Architectural Stairs.
There are beautiful custom stairs projects in homes located in neighborhoods around Puget Sound. Our portfolio presents staircases at homes in Laurelhurst, Broadmoor, Magnolia, Clyde Hill, Hunts Point, Madison Park, Edmonds, Medina, and other locations near Lake Washington.
In addition to the items featured in our Galleries, our work has been featured in numerous articles and periodicals, including here and here in the Seattle Times. For more information on our stair design services please give us a call.
